Memories - Games Day

The saints community project presented Games Day today with a morning of bingo and quizzes and a visit from the local community police officer Graham who advised us about the recent spate of purse thefts locally and how to stay safe. Graham hung around and answered lots of questions and gave out lots of reassurance.

Alwyn celebrated her 90th birthday yesterday so it way great to have her with us today and present her with a bouquet. Obviously the best bit was sharing lots of cake with her.

A nice warm lunch was provided especially on such a sunny but chilly day. After lunch we were able to spend 30 minutes watching a video of the highlights of the project since September. It was madness to see how much we had done and the friendships formed over such a short period.

The day finished with some lively music and the music man is always a hit ! A few games of play your cards right, with absolutely no cheating and the grand prize raffle.

A lovely day was had by all and great to see some new faces joining our group , which is of course open to everyone and we love to meet and see the numbers grow.
