Memories - Christmas Jumper Party 2018
The Christmas Jumper Party at The Saints Community Project
Wednesday 19th December and it’s Party Time ! With an amazing array of jumpers and accessories which get more inventive and creative Year on Year we were ready to party.
Great Entertainment from John and Anita, traditional games and group participation songs, a game of Christmas Bingo and some Fun Party activities the day was well underway all before lunch.
A huge feast of party food created an amazing table picnic for us all to enjoy. A huge thank you to Waitrose, Brackley who provided a vast range of delights through the fare share scheme. We were all truly spoilt.
The sleigh bells were ringing and Father Christmas made an appearance delivering everyone with a present to open on Christmas morning.
A huge thank you to The Brackley Massive, supporters of The Brackley Town FC team who through fundraising donated £300 to our project enabling us to provide all 80 attendees with a small gift and ensured extra festive treats were provided throughout the day. Without their hard work and generous support of our project we wouldn’t be able to have lots of the games and treats that we do making everyone feel special and having such a positive impact on their daily lives.
John and Anita finished off the afternoon with the second part of the show with their Rock and Roll Band. Lots of dancing and festive fun was witnessed in the room.
What a fabulous end to the year here at St James Park.
It’s been a wonderful time with the Community project seeing new friendships being made and others blossoming. Welcoming new members and seeing their confidence and contribution within the group grow through time.
Most importantly knowing this Christmas not one of our members would be alone on Christmas Day this year due to amazing acts of kindness from other members who they had met through the project.
We really are building a community within a community.
A huge thank you to a local resident Lucy who through our direction was able to highlight members who didn’t have as much support as others. She then was able to provide them with an array of gifts and treats. We were so grateful for this and it was heartwarming to see their reactions. Thank you so much for being so kind and generous.
Here’s to 2019 .... Bring it on !!!!
