Memories - Christmas Jumper 2016
Christmas Jumper Party
The party season is in full swing at Saints Community Project. On 7th December, it was Christmas jumper party time and everyone was impressed with the amazing turnout and array of ideas! Some wore custom made jumpers, others wore jumpers purchased specifically for the party. It is amazing how the choice of jumper so often reflects that individual’s character. The event saw the opening of the giant Christmas tombola which Kim Grantham and her helpers have been preparing for weeks. There was a whole array of quizzes and silly games to get the grey matter working.
The party received a very special visitor; the Major of Brackley, Councillor Fiona Baker. She had very kindly made a donation to ensure everyone had something to open this Christmas. Fiona was able to give out the presents with her elf helper and chatted with everyone. Kim Grantham said ‘I would like to offer heartfelt thanks to Fiona and to the amazing lady on the till at Tesco who with no hesitation offered to wrap up 100 presents for us. When I mentioned who the presents were for, she delegated the task to her sister, who wrapped every single one in the most beautiful fashion with ribbons and bows. It certainly is the season of goodwill. Community spirit is well alive and helped make a very special gift for everyone!
